Debunking Republican Lies

There has been tension between Republicans and Democrats forever but since President Obama took office, tensions never seemed higher.
As a liberal democrat, I have been verbally attacked several times because of My car magnet! That's right. The verbal assaults go from "Suck Obama's c@#*" to detailed (false) explanations of why I should be on the other side.
I have friends from both sides and always respect opinions.
I didn't have to do much searching online to find the most ridiculous memes, mocking President Obama and the entire Democratic Party.
This meme is on every Republican page, being shared widely. The statement President Obama made in 2008 regarding executive action is True! However, In 2008 no one could have predicted that the Congress hasn’t even provided the government with enough resources to fully enforce the laws already on the books.
In other words, when you are trying to fix something that is broken but you have a bunch of children pushing you away, sometimes you have to push back to achieve what you think is best.

Michelle has been widely criticized throughout her eight years of being called a First Lady.
This is an example of the inflammatory lies that are being told on a daily basis. This particular meme comes from a site called Jews News. They claim she said "White folks are what's wrong with America" while delivering a commencement address at Tuskegee Institute.

Maybe, some people (not necessarily Liberals) want to see guns completely gone but not President Obama. Since conservatives hear only what they want to hear, maybe they can read the entire transcript here instead.
Most left wingers agree with the President, that the answer is not to take away guns from responsible owners. The word 'confiscating' has never been used by the President to refer to the executive action on gun control.

Another crazy meme appeared, made probably by someone who does not know the process of admitting refugees.

Prime example of 'Hearing only what they want to hear'. In a July 2014 statement issued by the White House on the occasion of the Muslim holiday of Eid-al-Fitr, President Obama said the following.
"As Muslims throughout the United States and around the world celebrate Eid-al-Fitr, Michelle and I extend our warmest wishes to them and their families. This last month has been a time of fasting, reflection, spiritual renewal, and service to the less fortunate. While Eid marks the completion of Ramadan, it also celebrates the common values that unite us in our humanity and reinforces the obligations that people of all faiths have to each other, especially those impacted by poverty, conflict, and disease. In the United States, Eid also reminds us of the many achievements and contributions of Muslim Americans to building the very fabric of our nation and strengthening the core of our democracy. That is why we stand with people of all faiths, here at home and around the world, to protect and advance their rights to prosper, and we welcome their commitment to giving back to their communities." Naturally, someone took this and changed it to their liking, making their fellow followers repost.
I had to read this one a few times.
This is the ultimate, most hypocritical statement coming from the right wing side, considering the fact that to them, if a certain person out of a group does something then they all must be alike. This stereotype ranges from African- Americans to Muslims to the less fortunate.
I learned that it does not matter when you confront someone about the things they post and even show them proof. They will not listen and they will keep promoting lies. This is why you have to get up and vote. Not voting is the ultimate sign of surrender. We can not let an entertainer become President of the United States. We can not let them defund Planned Parenthood. We can not let them repeal Obamacare.
